Dear Diary,

What a fantastic day we had yesterday. The Gong Xi celebration went on very well indeed. Children were dressed in their cultural outfits and the Lion dance was just awesome. This year, we allowed all the Pinocchio boys to have a turn at the lion's head ... which took up quite a bit of time, as a result of which we didn't have much time for Show & Tell.

We did as much as we could ...

Still, all the Pinocchio boys were excited they had the chance to lead and prance around in the Lion dance performance. Pinocchio girls too played their part by spinning the hand drums enthusiastically. Donald, Mickey and Bambi children were truly excellent spectators. All our younger children were seated transfixed in their seats throughout the lion dance entertainment.

One thing that must be mentioned ...

Pot Luck food contributions poured in throughout the whole morning. We are so thankful and grateful to all our Lagenda Parents for their support and contribution towards our children's pot luck table. With that, we had more than enough cookies and snacks to prepare goodie packs for the children. This year, yours truly bugged her better half to do a video montage for the Gong Xi event. :D

We do have gorgeous photos of everyone after all.

So anyway ...

After the lion dance, performers stood in line with lions behind them, and we sang the GONG XI song.

That was fun.

It was time to feast.

We had macaroni with carrots, potatoes and sweetcorn on the menu. Always a favourite among our children. While waiting for the macaroni to cool down, children had two pieces of crisps, a small slice of cake and an even smaller slice of brownie. No, we don't want to spoil their appetite.

Show & Tell went on next. After that, teachers went on stage and took turns to talk about the 4 main festivals in Malaysia. Good job everyone.

That evening, after a very exhausting but successful and a happy day, we teachers went out for a nice and well-deserved (Hehe, but of course!) dinner at one of our former parents' new Japanese restaurant in Jalan Kuchai Lama.

We thoroughly enjoyed the meal very much. :D

Yummy for the tummy!
