GROUP READING

Dear Diary,

I must say that our children continue to amaze us week after week, time after time. This week for Show & Tell, we encouraged our Seniors to use the mic and to speak by themselves, without prompting from teachers. Their eagerness and readiness to take up the challenge inspire us, as we observe each child share in their own way, with full confidence and best of all, no hesitation. Even the shyest child of the lot took the platform and shared his story. Wow! Such a short time and so much improvement. So good to witness. Mind you, this is Public Speaking we are talking about. It takes guts and a certain strong character to stand before an audience to deliver a message that is worth listening to. Honestly, not many adults can do this but helloo ... ALL our Seniors did! A big clap for them! At this stage, we are not focusing on technique, but more on the opportunity for the child to step forward and to deliver his story before a small audience, without fear. Good to see that all our children, including our Juniors, love (Yup, LOVE!) Show & Tell sessions. We are thankful to our parents for helping their child bring an item each week.

xoxo
