HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMELIA

AMELIA TURNS 2. :D

Dear Diary,

Our second week went swell.

The first Show & Tell of the year was an absolute success. We had (almost) every child bring a red item to school. Oh Wow! The participation was amazing, to say the least. All our children paraded in red on Friday. That was super awesome! Am totally grateful to our parents for their support in this activity.

Our Seniors had their first PE lesson of the year. Egg in spoon activity. Am proud of the way the lesson was carried out. Kids were totally cooperative, and working with one another. They displayed order and discipline and showed good listening skills, throughout PE lesson and Practical Life activity thereafter. Thumbs up for good behaviour.

It's only the 2nd week of school, but hey, our 3+ year olds are busy tracing and some, writing already. Independently too, I must add.

Our 2+ year olds are just incredible ... so willing to cooperate, and participate, in all their activities. Eager to please. Very bright, all of them.

Speaking of 2 year olds, one of our parents shared that she couldn't believe it when her 2 year old child picked up playing cards (at home) and started to identify the numbers correctly. She was also stunned when he counted from 1 to 13 apparently ... and asked if we teach the children with casino cards. She said it's effective.

Chuckle.

The parent also wondered if it's common for a 2 year old to know how to use a scooter (with steady balance) and to pedal a bicycle (4 wheels) properly ... because she doesn't remember her first two children being able to do that at this age. Her child joined us at 17 months old when his maid ran away.

It certainly is a delight watching our children grow from day to day.

Until next week ... Getting To Know You ...

xoxo
