| He is very hungry and begins to look for food. |

| On Monday, he eats an apple. |

| On Tuesday, he eats two pears. |

| On Wednesday, he eats three plums. |
 |
| Let's pretend the mangosteens are plums. |
 |
| On Thursday, he eats four strawberries. |
 |

| On Friday, he eats five oranges. |

| On Saturday, he eats one piece of chocolate cake ... |

| The caterpillar eats the leaf, and feels better on Sunday. |

| He is now a big fat caterpillar. |

| He hangs himself upside-down ... |

| and starts to spin a cocoon around himself. |
 |
| This cocoon is called a chrysalis. |
 |
| The caterpillar sleeps in the cocoon for about 14 days. |
 |
| During this time, magic starts to happen. |
 |
| Lo and behold! |

| A beautiful butterfly ... |

| emerges from the chrysalis. :D |
